Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS): Fee, Admission & Courses

Foreign students who want to study in Nepal must apply through the centralised MEC admissions process. This means that they can apply by either taking the MEC entrance exam (MECEE-BL) or using their score from the national entrance exam (NEET-UG) in their own country (if they are Indian students).

Step 1: Eligibility Check

Confirm the academic, age, and NEET-UG requirements above.

Step 2: Application Submission

Apply via MEC's portal or contact Mycareerpathshala.

Step 3: Document Verification

MEC and/or KUSMS will verify the transcripts, identity documents and NEET scorecard. Fraudulent documents will result in disqualification and possible legal action.

Step 4: Admission Letter

Matched candidates receive a formal offer/admission letter via MEC's open-house matching process and must confirm their seat within the notified window.

Step 5: Fee Payment

The first instalment of tuition is paid through KUSMS's official bank channels; hostel/mess is billed separately.

Step 6: Visa & Travel Assistance

Indian nationals need no visa for Nepal — a valid passport or accepted photo ID is enough. Other nationalities should check Nepal's visa rules with the nearest embassy.

Step 7: University Enrollment

Once the applicant has paid the required fees, they will complete their academic registration with Kathmandu University and any additional required registrations with professional councils, followed by their orientation session and the start of their classes.
